The AUS-QUAL Organic Program Fact Sheets are developed to assist businesses in their understanding of what is required as part of Organic Certification. AUS-QUAL has the following resources available.

AUS-QUAL Organic Program Introduction
Included here is the basic information about the AUS-QUAL Organic Program and a form to register your interest in becoming Certified Organic with AUS-QUAL.

Organic Certification Program Flow Diagram
This shows the due process a client must follow to become Certified Organic.

Types of Certification
This includes Pre Certification / In Conversion Certification and Organic Certification.

Parallel production
This refers to the processing or growing of both organic and conventional product on the same business premises or farm.

Changing the Scope of the certification including labels, Organic Handling Plans and Organic Management Plans
This includes expanding the scope of certification to include the following;

- growing of additional products,
- farming of additional animals,
- further processing of product grown on farm,
- packing of certified product from another business,
- changing or adding new labels,
- changing of Organic Management Plans,
- changing of Organic Handling Plans etc.

Derogations to an Organic Standard
This refers to making a change to an Organic Standard. There are certain circumstances where changes are allowed to an Organic Standard as per this fact sheet.
